Electronic Devices and Circuits laboratory

This is the basic laboratory for the ECE students and in this lab, students get the information regarding the basic electronic components like diodes and transistors. And in this laboratory the students are trained in the working of different amplifiers and oscillators. This gives a good foundation on electrical and electronic components to the students in the initial stage. This lab includes major equipment like Regulated Power supplies (RPS), Cathode Ray Oscilloscopes (CROs), Function Generators, Multimeters, Ammeters, Voltmeters.

Electronic Circuits/Pulse and Digital Circuits Lab

This is an extension to the Electronic Devices and Circuits lab, and is used to test the working performance of different digital circuits and oscillators using CROs (Cathode Ray Oscilloscopes). This lab includes major equipment like: CROs, RPS, LCR Meter, Digital Multimeters (DMM), Fuction generators, Analog Discovery Kits(ADKs), Stand Alone PCs, Multisim, Digital storage oscilloscpoes .

Microprocessors & Microcontrollers Lab

This lab gives the idea of microprocessors like 8085, 8086 to the students. In this lab, the students are trained to write the programs for different manipulations with the microprocessors in Assembly Language Programming and are debugged using TASM. This lab is also useful for the students to know the interfacing of the microprocessors to different applications like display, control interface, etc. Major equipment: 8085/8086 Microprocessor, 8051 Microcontroller, 8259 Interrupt Controller, 8279 Key Board Display, 8255 PPI, 8251 USART, ADC Interface kits, etc.

Microwave and Optical Communications Laboratory

This lab mainly deals with the microwave components and Optical fiber communication. This lab trains the students in the operation of different microwave components like Attenuators, Directional couplers, etc. This lab also focuses on the working of optical fibers and their performance. Major Equipment includes: Klystron Test benches,Gunn oscillator test benches, optical Fibre kits, CROS,RPS,Function genmerators, Micro wave accessiories.

Digital Signal Processing Laboratory

This lab is equipped with computers which are having MATLAB 7.1 version installed in them. In this lab, students mainly focus on designing and developing different types of filters. This lab is also useful to compute the transformations such as DFT, FFT of the signals. Major Equipment includes: Mat lab version 7.1 , Code Composer studio version 3.1, DSP hardware kits, Stand Alone pcs, IBM server.

Integrated Circuits Application Laboratory

This lab is also equipped with hardware kits and mainly focuses on types of ICs used in electronic circuits and their functioning. In this lab students will observe the responses of different circuits using different ICs. Major Equipment includes: Regulated Power supplies (RPS), Cathode Ray Oscilloscopes (CROs), Function Generators, Digital Multi meters, ADK, Analog and digital IC tester.

Analog/Digital Communications laboratory

This lab is completely equipped with the hardware kits. This lab provides the information about the different types of modulators and demodulators used and types of techniques used for the processing of the analog (continuous) signals. Major Equipment includes: Regulated Power supplies (RPS), Digital Storage Oscilloscope, Function Generators, Digital Multi meters.

Electronic Computer Aided Design LAB

Theoretical knowledge and software package application skills: you will become familiar with the concept of several useful electronic circuits and professional usage of circuit simulation software. This course presents the actual concepts of several electronic devices and circuits and the design details, in order to meet a given system specification. System, signal, circuit and component considerations are incorporated. Major Equipment includes: Stand \alone pcs, XILINX software ver 12.3, SPARTRAN 3E FPGA kits.

ATL lab/ Projects lab

The main objective of this lab is to develop the projects for supporting of disabled people in their day to day life, and every student in the department has to be complete the main project work in the 4 th year. All the computer terminals are LAN connected with high speed Internet connectivity for executing and documenting their project work in-house. Major Equipment includes standalone pcs, CROS, Function generators, RPS, universal programmer, PIC development board, Atmega developnment boards, Mplab IDE, mkicro C pro, AVR studio, proteus professional ver SP7.7, BIG PIC 6 development kit with Accessories.
