The Second-year B.Tech Mechanical Engineering students visited AnjaniTek Tiles Ltd., Perikegudem (near Mandavali) on 09-08-2025 as part of their industrial exposure program.
The visit provided students with valuable insights into the advanced glazed vitrified and ceramic tile manufacturing processes, including raw material preparation, pressing, glazing, firing, and finishing operations. In addition, students observed the company's emphasis on sustainable practices such as water recycling, energy-efficient kilns, and zero-waste discharge systems, which highlighted the importance of green manufacturing in the modern tile industry. The industrial visit offered a clear understanding of, Large-scale production workflows, Automation and material handling systems, Quality control and testing procedures and Modern manufacturing operations in the tile industry. A total of 45 students participated in the visit, accompanied and guided by Mechanical Engineering faculty members - Mr. K. V. G. Rama Seshu and Mr. N. V. V. Manikanta.

2. G. S. Alloy Castings Ltd. – A reputed manufacturer and supplier of alloy steel castings catering to sectors such as mining, oil, and gas industries.
During the visit, students had the opportunity to observe and gain practical insights into foundry operations, machining processes, quality control practices, and modern manufacturing techniques. The visit helped students connect theoretical knowledge with industrial applications, thereby enhancing their understanding of production processes, material properties, and industrial safety practices.
The industrial visit was organized under the guidance of Mechanical Engineering Faculty Members - Dr. N. Naga Krishna, Mr. G. Mahesh and Mr. J. Chandrasekhar, who accompanied and mentored the students throughout the visit.Such visits bridge the gap between academics and industry, providing students with valuable exposure to real-time engineering practices, process optimization, and the importance of quality assurance in manufacturing industries.
