About the FDP

An integrated circuit is broadly defined as a very-large-scale-integration of electronic components to realize a function as part of the system. ICs are at the heart of the rapid developments in mobile telecommunications, multimedia, the internet and numerous other applications. IC design can be divided into the broad categories of digital, analog and mixed signal IC design. In a Mixed Signal IC design, typically Digital and analog functions are put together on the same silicon substrate. Modern ICs are enormously complicated. With the advances in technology, there has been tremendous demand on developing fast and energy efficient ICs suiting the state-of-the-art applications of industry. This faculty development program intends to bring the leading academicians to exchange knowledge on recent innovations and insights in various fields of VLSI design.
