The Department of Basic Science and the Mechanical Engineering successfully co-hosted a workshop titled Communication and Control of the Public Mindon 6th July, 2024.
The guest speakers, Mr. Rajesh, a Mechanical Engineer and Practicing Lawyer, Mr. Rohit, a Mechanical Engineer and Independent Fact-checker, along with Mrs.Sravani, a seasoned Journalist from The Hindu, led an engaging and educational workshop for our fourth-year Mechanical Engineering students. The session included hands-on activities focused on fact-checking techniques, enhancing awareness of online frauds, and strategies to protect the public from such threats.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the management, the Principal, and the Heads of both departments for their invaluable support. Thanks to their efforts and the active participation of our students, the workshop was a resounding success.
Vishnu Institute of Technology hosted a 24 hour Failathon for the CSE and AI&DS students of I B Tech from 4 March 9.00 am to 5 March 9.00 am in Smt. B. Seetha Auditorium. Dr.M. K. Kaushik and Mr. Aswin of Vishnu TBI were the resource persons. The event unfolded with 83 teams participating enthusiastically in four engaging rounds: Elevator Pitch, Flow chart challenge, AEIOU and SDGs and Business Model Canva. The failathon brought out innovative thinking among the participants and also instilled in them a sense of resilience as the students learned to embrace failure as a stepping stone toward success. They also learned the values of collaboration and realized how different perspectives lead to different solutions.
Vishnu Institute of Technology, in collaboration with IDP-IELTS, successfully hosted an IELTS Orientation Program aimed at our ambitious III B.TECH students who are looking forward to broaden their horizons through our Graduate Study abroad centre The session was designed to equip our students with essential insights and strategies for excelling in the IELTS examination, a crucial step for studying overseas.
The highlight of the program was an interactive session led by Mr. George John, a distinguished corporate trainer renowned for his expertise in IELTS and PTE academic coaching. His dynamic approach and in-depth knowledge provided our students with a unique perspective on the examination process, preparation techniques, and the confidence to aim for success in their future academic endeavors.
Vishnu Institute of Technology organized SCIENCE CAFE (DST NCSTC Project) for school students of West Godavari District from 21 - 23 September 2023 @ ZPH High School, Kovvada. The objective was to create scientific awareness among the rural students. 278 students from three schools attended the program. A demo was given on the Preparation and Applications of Nano materials. The students were introduced to the Observations of Important Celestial Happenings using the Advanced Telescope and High resolution Camera located in SVES campus, Bhimavaram.
Interactive sessions were conducted on Pollution, Type and Prevention; on Nutrition and another one on Oral Hygiene. Hands on Sessions were organized on Making of soap and sanitizer. Awareness sessions on Science in Daily Life; Biodiversity Types, Values and conservation; Science in India- Ancient India to Modern India and Benefits of Plantation were also conducted. Quiz and Science Expo were organized and the winners were given prizes. Experts from Vishnu Dental College, VVIT, local and non local colleges were the resource persons.
