National Instruments (NI) LabVIEW Academy School

NI LabVIEW Academy School is started in November 2017 in Vishnu Institute of Technology, Bhimavaram, Andhra Pradesh in collaboration with National Instruments who is a global leader in automated test and automated measurement. NI's modular hardware platform and system design software such as LabVIEW help engineer's do more innovative, faster and easily integrate new technologies. There are 135 students benefitted and 10 faculty members are involved from the departments of ECE, EEE and Mechanical. The centre providing the students for necessary skills and developments in current technologies in signal processing, image processing and IOT applications.

Objective

1. Conducting Training on LabVIEW software and related hardware to studentsand Faculty of ECE, EEE and Mechanical engineering.
2. Transforms teaching - learning to Research and Development and industrycollaboration Provide opportunities to integrate teaching, research and service.
3. Doing experiments beyond the curriculum and in-house real time projects.
4. Competing with strong engineering knowledge with globally challenging studentsof the premier institutes.

Aim

NI LabVIEW Academy school aims towards the industry-oriented training on LabVIEW software and various hardware boards of National instruments in the area of communication signal processing, control systems, Mechatronics and IOT applications for the students of ECE, EEE and Mechanical Engineering.

Mission

NI LabVIEW Academy School provides tools and platforms for developing embedded systems, which are computer systems integrated into other devices or products.NI Academy School provides software and hardware tools for designing, prototyping, and deploying test and measurement systems. These systems are used to validate and verify the performance of electronic devices, components, and systems.

NI Lab VIEW Academy School, the research and innovation division of National Instruments, focuses on advancing technology and exploring emerging trends.

These points are speculative and based on general trends and possibilities in the field of mobility.

Achievements

1. 49 students and 8 faculty members are qualified in CLAD exam conducted by NI
2. One student got the opportunity for CLD training
3. 6 students selected for internships in various companies and 5 students got placements
4. Students done 4 major projects on NI hardware

1. Understand the basics of virtual instrumentation concept and dataflow programming.
2. Apply various functions available in Lab VIEW for engineering applications.
3. Design projects using the functions available in Lab VIEW.
4. Interfacing of my DAQ devices and customized user designed hardware with Lab VIEW.
5. Interfacing of my RIO devices and customized user designed hardware with Lab VIEW.
6. Write the Certified LabVIEW Associate Developer (CLAD) exam, administered by National Instruments, for the certification and leading to placements in core companies.
