Rendezvous with the Chairman

 

Chairman Shri KV Vishnu Raju’s interaction with the staff and students,   a much awaited annual practice at SVES took place on the 8th and 9th of November. The Chairman’s interaction with the staff of VISHNU and SVECW was inspiring and motivating throughout. A person with wide international exposure he broadened the perspective of the teaching faculty. He set three priorities for the faculty-to adopt the best methods in teaching, to continuously update ones knowledge and skills by indulging in research and to have industry interaction.

 

 

He urged the teaching faculty to take the students from the confines of the classroom where theoretical instruction predominates to the practical reality of technology. A down to earth approach on how priority can be given to projects was an eye opener. A person with a passion for excellence in education, he announced his intention of sponsoring a few students and staff for higher education abroad.

 

 

As usual, the staff members were inspired to the core and this inspiration is sure to carry them forward in their career.

 

 

The interaction of the Chairman with the freshmen of I B.Tech and I MBA on the following day was as inspiring and motivating. The Chairman emphasized the need to pursue engineering and management in the right spirit. He called upon the students to acquire a practical bend of mind where they should be able to apply the concepts learned in the classrooms to real life situations. He laid before the students the achievements of the alumni of SVES who made appropriate use of the Assistive Technologies Lab and the Innovation Centre of SVES and emerged successful. He advised the students to take cue form them and equip themselves with knowledge and skills so as to be competent in the international arena. The Chairman came up with a new proposal for the MBA students as well. He offered to add value to their MBA curriculum by giving them more exposure to the industry. A successful entrepreneur himself, he also encouraged students who had the zeal of entrepreneurship. The session ended with a lively interaction with the students.
